Your use of my website and services indicates you have read and accepted my privacy statement. You consent to collection, use, disclosure, transfer and storage in accordance with this Privacy Statement of any personal data or other information received by me as a result of your use of the services available through my website. Collection of information
Your privacy is important to me. I will never share personal information I collect with other organisations, except in limited ways to provide you with the services I offer (see details below). This Privacy Statement may be updated from time to time, the date at the end will show the last update.
Two types of information may be collected from you via my website or other services I provide
- Personally identifiable information which you choose to disclose and is collected on an individual basis
- General user information that does not contain any personally identifiable information which is collected to provide statistics on user numbers and behaviour. (See Use of Cookies below)
Details
If you book places at seminars
- Personal information, your name, email address (and telephone number if you provide it) are updated to my Mailing List in Mailchimp. Please see their privacy and security policies – http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/ You can unsubscribe from this list via the unsubscribe link at the end of any email you receive via this list. Mailchimp keeps a record of unsubscribed email addresses so that they will not be added back by mistake in future during updates. You can update your details on my Mailing List via the update subscription preferences link at the end of any email you receive via this list. You can subscribe to my Mailing List via any ‘Mailing List’ button on my website.
- Booking System – in order to book places at my seminars your name, email address and choices are held on Booking Bug’s database. Please see their privacy and security policies – http://feedback.bookingbug.com/tos
- Paypal – your payment details are only used to process your payment and are not retained unless you have set up an account with them. Please see their privacy and security policies – https://www.paypal.com/ie/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
- If you use the contact form or any of the email buttons on my website your details will not automatically be added to my Mailing List unless you state that you would like to be added or would like to receive ongoing communications.
Signing up for my blog
If you sign up for my blog your details are kept on a completely separate system – Feedburner, which is run by Google Please see their privacy and security policies – http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
You will only ever get the blog or announcements related to the blog via this list.
One to one coaching
All personal information, notes and documents collected and stored by me in relation to one to one coaching clients is absolutely confidential and I will never share this information with anyone without your prior written consent.
Use of information
Your information is collected to
- Provide you with the service and products available to you through my website.
- Send communications in connection with your transactions.
- Send occasional communications to update you on events and developments if you are on my Mailing List.
- For marketing and business information purposes.
- If required to do so, for legal purposes.
You can opt out of Mailing List emails by unsubscribing via the link at the end of any one of these emails.
Security
I take what I believe to be reasonable steps to maintain the security of any personal information I collect including limiting the number of people who have physical access to my database and computer and using security software. I never take my main laptop outside of my office/home.
Please be aware that no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Therefore any information you transmit to me is at your own risk. You should take care in deciding what information to send over the internet, in particular via email.
Cookies
In common with most websites Una Hearne Career Coach uses standard technology known as ‘cookies’. These are small text files placed on your computer, used to recognise the computer used to access a website. Information gathered may include items such as date and time of visits, pages viewed, time spent on website etc. When you use my website you agree to us using cookies in line with your cookie settings.
Cookies are used to:
- Provide you with the service you have asked for. They are essential to the proper functioning and if turned off some parts of the website may not work correctly for you.
- To collect statistics on the use of my website. Your personal information is not included in these statistics. They are used to help me to keep my site up to date, relevant and useful to you.

Facebook page
Facebook pages are public and any information you post is accessible to others and considered non-confidential. Information or pictures you post may be used/tagged/re-published by other people and you won’t have control of this.
When posting on Designing Your FutureTM page you must not infringe the rights of others or be offensive. I reserve the right to delete any posts which I consider to be unsuitable. You may inform me if you find any of the posts offensive and I will consider deletion. However, I reserve the right to make the judgement on this and my decisions will be final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding these decisions. If you wish me to remove any posts you have made in the past that is of course no problem and you may request this via email.
All unsolicited information provided by you shall be deemed to be non-confidential and we shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, distribute and exploit such unsolicited information without limitation.
You understand that I may use and re-publish any information or pictures you post on this page. For example if you post a brilliant picture of a seminar I may use that on my website or in an email to the DYF community.
My intention is to provide a forum for discussion, a place where people can share inspiration and learning, to enhance everyone’s personal development and quality of life. Please use Designing Your FutureTM facebook page in line with these objectives.

From time to time it may be necessary to change this Privacy Statement which we reserve the right to do. Updates or modifications will be highlighted in the document and the date of any changes will below. Continued use of the website indicates your acceptance of these changes or modifications. If necessary we will notify you of certain changes.
